Additional Historical Information

06-Nov-2006 - Aircraft struck a wooden safety curb on take-off from the Marine Atlantic dock, upon landing at Goose Bay the right main gear failed. The aircraft left the runway and sustained additional damage to the right wing. Repairable and returned to service.

05-Apr-2008 While doing a touch & go 86 miles from Nain, NL to determine suitability of frozen lake surface, the nose gear separated when it hit a snow bank. The aircraft slid to a stop about 100 feet further on. Repairable, however see comments below.

28-Apr-2008 The aircraft was being recovered from the accident location to be flown out as a sling load via helicopter. During the recovery process the sling failed, and the aircraft fell approximately 300 meters. The wreckage, which was now beyond economical repair was registered back to Rocky Mountain Aircraft [Ashe Aircraft Enterprises] in 2009. A significant portion of the aft fuselage was donated to the repair of MSN 650 C-GKBC, which itself was lost in Antarctica in Jan-2013.
